    Dear Distillery Lane Ciderworks:

The Cowford Ale Sharing Klub (CASK) is gearing up for its fourth annual First Coast Cup Cider, Mead & Beer Homebrew Competition, set for July 29-30 in Jacksonville, FL.

The First Coast Cup is a BJCP-recognized event and a Florida Homebrew Circuit competition. Last year we had nearly 400 entries with nearly 75 in the Cider category and we expect more this year. Same as last year, we will have 100+ homebrewers in attendance, including out-of-town judges, beer bloggers, volunteers, club members and guests.

CASK is a nonprofit (Our tax ID is 74-3170922 ) homebrew club with about 150 members from the greater Jacksonville metro area. The First Coast Cup is our biggest event. We thank you for any sponsorship help you provided last year and we hope you can help us out by donating Distillery Lane Ciderworks logo merchandise items (T-shirts, hats, glassware, pins, etc) for use in raffles, in prize bags and as gifts for volunteers. In return, Distillery Lane Ciderworks will be recognized on our website, on our printed fliers & posters and during the Brewer’s Dinner & First Coast Cup Awards Ceremony.

You can find more details about our club and the First Coast Cup Homebrew Competition at http://thecask.org/first%20coast%20cup.htm . Shipping information is listed below.

We look forward to partnering with you to make the 2011 First Coast Cup a success.

    Cheers,

  3. I’m so happy to see hard cider rearing it’s wonderful head here in the US. My mother was a War Bride from UK and so I visit there often. Whenever I would frequent some of my favorite pubs, I would get a pint of “scrumpy.” In fact, one of my Scottish Fold kitties was named “Scrumpy of Llandoger Trow.” If you Google the phrase Llandoger Trow, you will find the pub dockside in Bristol. I haven’t had a good pint of scrumpy in ages – looking forward to it though.
