It’s been a terrific Fall here at Ciderworks and we’ve had a record crop of apples. We’ve also had a record number of visitors, and they’ve been busy touring the orchard and purchasing cider and apples. Thank you for the visiting and supporting Ciderworks!
We’ve been nearly cleaned out of about 20 of the varieties we sell. We do have good quantities left of 4 premier baking apples — the classic English culinary favorite “Bramley’s Seedling,” the similar but sweeter English “Brown’s Apple,” the French pastry apple “Caville Blanc.” and finally the firm, tart, American apple “Goldrush.” All are suitable for eating but they’re really best in pies, or sauce or tarts or muffins.
Our last weekend for apple sales will be November 21/22. We will have fresh cider each week right up to the New Year, and of course we will be open weekends all year long with our hard cider sales. Coming soon will be a new batch of “Scrumpy,” a new bottling of “Woodberry,” and we’ll be bringing back our “Kingston Black Sparkling” just in time for New Year’s toast.
