Cidery to Celebrate the First Press of the Fall
DLC will host its annual “First Press of the Season” event on Saturday, September 13, from 10:00-5:00. The event features live music by Jim & Ashley Cash of Woven Green (http://www.wovengreenmusic.com), orchard tours, apple pressing demonstrations, cider tastings, bee keeping demonstrations, and food provided by Carnivore BBQ Food Truck (http://carnbbq.com) and Pinch Dumplings (www.pinchdumplings.com). The event is always popular, with lots of things to see and do for the whole family!

Distillery Lane Ciderworks (DLC), the first licensed cidery in Maryland, offers American and European-style hard ciders, along with fresh cider and apples. We only sell what we grow! All of our ciders, fresh and hard, are produced from over 40 different varieties of apples, including American heritage and English and French cider apples, grown on the farm. Our ciders are all about the apples. Our cider blends and single varietals are refreshing and complex and they pair nicely with many different types of food.
The cidery has really taken off and has been featured in articles in media outlets such as The Washington Post. Distillery Lane Ciderworks was featured in the hit television show, “Drinking Made Easy,” where the host, Zane Lamprey, and his stuffed monkey, Pleepleus, visited the farm and tasted some of the cider!
